Entertaining with fashion and flair is my passion.

I am a woman who firmly believes living life to the fullest is the key to happiness at any age. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved to cook. My first food memory was catching sunnies with my Grand Pop in Delran, NJ and then turning those fish into a bright, summery broth. This lead me to experiment with baking during high school where I had a loyal following for cream puffs and coffee cakes. During my college days, I found the food in the cafeteria to be hard to digest so I started to cook for myself on a daily basis.

I continue to expand my food focus through a love of entertaining. I especially enjoy treating family and friends to lunches and dinners that combine the best, seasonal produce into simple, elegant creations. I am a voracious reader of "food" and "lifestyle" magazines. For me these publications provide a strong launch pad to try new products and restyle recipe ideas into my own. Some of my favorites are Cook's Illustrated, Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Traditional Home, Elle Decor, Martha Stewart and Vogue. I find inspiration in fashion trends, photographs, nature and food produce and products. I am not a traditionalist but would rather spend my time reinventing and re-imagining recipes.

My husband, Gene, along with my family are my muses and guinea pigs. They enjoy the experiments and are not shy about letting me know what should be changed or taken out immediately. I remember one famous fiasco. I attempted to recreate a ham spread I had in Emmaus, PA during college. Needless to say, I must have remembered it differently because the end product was just plain terrible.

My greatest passion started several years ago with "theme" holiday dinners. It was not unusual to find 18 to 20 people enjoying a multi course sit down dinner at our house during the holidays. Typically the inspiration for dinner started with a simple idea that expanded into the menu, table settings, decorations.

As time has passed and families have grown our celebrations are still joyous but somewhat downsized. I am also working full time as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Preferred in Haddonfield, NJ.

Whatever the situation I enjoy creating special moments throughout the year, whether it is for two people or more. What I present here are ideas to infuse your daily living with creativity, joy and good food. Take the journey with me and let's start to all live Simply Extraordinary lives.
